Susy's Poppies California Poppy Reserve, Antelope Valley, California 17" x 23" Private Collection In 2005, we had what has been called the 100-year rain. The entire poppy reserve was carpeted with poppies, lupine, popcorn flowers, brittle bush, and more. While painting, I felt as if I was in the poppy scene from the "Wizard of Oz."
